Lee Brand Jr, SBC 1VP, to nominate Javier Chavez for Recording-Secretary

Dr. Lee Brand Jr., first vice president of the Southern Baptist Convention, will nominate pastor Javier Chavez for the office of Recording-Secretary. Dr. Brand was elected last year at the annual meeting in Nashville.

Brand who served as Dean at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary is a renowned speaker, pastor, and seminary professor.

Dr. Chavez and Dr. Brand share a common friendship and both have stood strong to defend the inerrancy and sufficiency of Scripture.
